Well Woman Check up

Post by hapa-girl » Fri, 06 Jul 2012 10:36 am

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a place for a Well Woman Check up? I did a web search and came up with Raffles, KK, Thompson and Parkway. I want somewhere that does a good consultation and explanation afterwards but doesn't push unnecessary treatments.

Thanks.

I would be interested in seeing the answers to this one. I have been thinking about getting mine at Raffles as I have generally had good experience with them. But recommendations would be great

The thing about wellness check-up is about being flexible. Many hospitals they give a standard check-up package.

For example: In government hospitals, once they take up a package and you wish to do additional test, you will need to see another specialist and then they will be able to order a new test for you. This will take time and will need more cost as it is not a package.

I prefer going to smaller companies like those in Paragon to do a check-up. The nurse will explain thoroughly to you the different type of tests and if you think you wish to do other tests, they will add in for you at a discounted price. Everything will then be done in one day. On top of that, you still can choose the specialty that you wish to see e.g. Cardiologists, Gynaecologists, or even colorectal surgeon if you prefer.
