Help on adoption process in singapore

Post by Victoria7780 » Mon, 11 Mar 2013 11:32 pm

Hi, im branching out for some help or advice if any uk couples have adopted a local (singaporean child).
we are confused with a few things and getting conflicting stories.

we would like to adopt the most efficiant way possible (ive heard some of the agencies should be taken with a wide birth) but also been told that there are no orphanges in singapore so when the web says find a child to adopt, how do we do this with no orphanages ?

also how im reading the web it says you can only apply to adopt after you have found a child, some have said a home visit is not needed others say it is, it may just be me but this whole process is baffling me.

my husband and i are not bothered of age/sex/background etc we just want to give a child a happy secure home.

so please if there are any uk people who have gone through this procedure i would be ever so grateful for any help/advice you could give, we are possibly leaving singapore early next year (2014) due to my husbands job and would love to be sharing our next adventure with another family member

my email is [email protected] thank you
