Hi,
Have been planning a PR application for a while, though due to marital status changes was delayed. Checking if there is any advice on the current situation for applying.
Looking to apply under main applicant EP holder 5 year pass, spouse EP holder 2 year pass with a 4 year old son. We have separated 6 month ago and are amicable with 50/50 child care living in different addresses.
Are we able to still apply as a family choosing separated in the marriage status box.
Or is it now better to apply separately, wife main applicant applies with child and husband applies on their own application
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance

Where are you from?
What is your legal status on separation?
Also if longterm direction if both of you are separated, why do you want to apply as a family?
In my view each of you need to apply without the spouse and mark status as separated and kid can be on either of your application.

Both from UK living here since 2017
Legal status if married
Still amicable and do 50/50 childcare and do still spend time at the main applicant home when needed.
Is there an issue applying as a family I guess is my question or should this be done separately or is that personal choice?
Thanks for the reply.

Tricky and complex. Won't be easy.
Legally not Separated
if you apply as a family, you are in 2 different addresses, will raise alarms.
I would say your chance will be very low

I am not sure but the "separated" in the marriage status field that you mentioned may refer to legally (or judicially) separated. Not separated as in no longer together (or no longer living together).

Hi there
Do you have any updates on your PR application?
I’m currently undergoing some issues with my spouse and we are living separately. We are working to resolve our differences.
I have PR and would like to apply for PR for my spouse and two kids. Any advice on how you would apply?
Thanks and would greatly appreciate tips!
