I am a South Indian, an Indian citizen, and currently a Singapore Permanent Resident. Recently, my wife filed for divorce in Singapore. Since I am an Indian citizen, I prefer to proceed with the divorce in India instead.
Given that my wife has already filed for divorce in Singapore and is asking for a very high settlement amount, can I file for divorce in India and request the Singapore court to put the local proceedings on hold?
Additionally, could you recommend any good and affordable law firms in Singapore that I can engage for my case?
