Exit Permit Approved - want to visit Singapore short term

Post by IvyChongEsbensen » Tue, 06 Jan 2026 4:46 pm

Hi all,

Happy new year to all :)

I have recently applied for NS Deferment pending Renunciation SC for my 13 year old son and it has been approved. My question is that, will he be able to visit Singapore short term by using his foreign passport? I read about applying ROE (REQUEST FOR RIGHT OF ENTRY) with ICA, however there is a note stating (a) by obtaining the ROE, the child is exercising the rights of a Singapore Citizen and is subjected to the duties and obligations as a Singapore Citizen.

What am I risking here if I applied a ROE for his foreign passport, to enter Singapore short term?

Thank you all in advance for your advise!

You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
