Viewing south-east down behind Ngee Ann City, to the financial district, MBS, and the ships moored up off the East.




Scott's/Orchard junction, with Tang's and the Marriot 'pagoda tower', down Scott's Road and north-east right to Malaysia.

A good place for a visitor to go for some fine views, and also to get their bearings over most of the country.

Take him to one of the local brunches (The Town, Equinox, Melt, Mezza9 etc) with free flow of champagne or other alc. beverages, good food and then get (almost) wasted. For the price, it is very unique Singapore and super-value.

Agreed, plus Raffles Place on a weekday, East Coast for seafood, a gentle hike at MacRitchie.

We just went to the observation desk at Ion this w/e, it's free, and considering that it's worth a trip if in the vicinity (we encountered no queueing at all at any point either). Stunning views, and to think we just came upon it completely by chance when on the floor the lift happens to run from...

What do you mean it is free? I remember having to pay to go up there long time ago. I think it was Luke's. Lucky you.

Viewing Times
The observatory is open from 10am to 8pm daily. Last entry is at 7.30pm. Admission is free.
