You should see Tampines malls, its like musical chairs. Courts in Tampines mall is closing down.

Apologies I drifted off subject as I remembered the taste of a Wimpy burger back in the UK all those years ago. No they were never in Singapore as far as I know.

The turnover is massive ....
In a nutshell , unless its Food then it will struggle to survive , unless its seen as a "presence" and head office can write it off.
I read that a lot the high end brands make a loss in Singapore , but they have to have a presence and be seen to be here so they balance it out elsewhere within the company.

Is the Carl Jr's in NEX still there? I've been driving for the past month or two so haven't been at the NEX bus stop to see. It was normally packed in the evenings & weekends as I recall.

It is, haven't eaten there yet, but I've walked passed it a few times.

In the evenings every food outlet in NEX is packed .... all other shops are empty except the supermarkets.
Retail work in the Shopping Malls here looks a thankless task!!!

we had a wimpys in Bangalore until 2004 i think, I had many a burger there while i was in school.
