I think they should state the age limit. So that for those who reach the age limit can stop dreaming to become JAL's FA.

I have called up JAL office regarding age limit for JAL's FA. One of the staff told me there's no age limit.

1) I don't think its tougher to work with japanese than singaporeans or any other person. I heard stories of how japanese stab others in the back, but its not like s'poreans or other pple dun do it, right? So far, I haven't experienced much problems with them. Some of them are not as pleasant, but thats normal I think. However, they are more likely to cover up for fellow japanese, and push the blame on non japanese, so you have to be prepared for that, but as long as you do whatever you are taught, they wun be able to blame u for anything. I've been with JAL for about a year. Yearly increment is not much. If you do get in, it will be stated in your contract. I've already said that new crew will bring home about 2.5- 2.8k a month, depending on flights. U will get at least 1 states flt per month. I think that if you are really interested in this line, there is no harm to fly for a year or 2, then go on to do your masters. Thats what I might do too. You don't have to sacrifice your masters to fly. BUt if you do your masters now, you wun be able to go into flying by the time you finish yr studies, right?

2) There is a bond for 15 months. Only 3k.

3) Cut off age is 25. Its not stated but they have never taken in anyone over 25 yet.

4) During training, you only get the basic. When training in Japan, u get basic plus a certain amt for your entire stay in japan. Food is provided in the dorm.

5) Contacts is fine. U dun need perfect eyesight.

6) U dun need to know japanese to get in.

hi sharkie.... thanks for info once again.... we are really glad tat u are back to help us on our questions.... i guess one more question left out will be e interview process.... wats go on in round 1, 2 and 3. and i like e idea tat they have e 1st n 2nd interviews on weekends so u dun have to waste ur leave.....

Thanks sharkie, btw is it an unwriten rule that you have to be FAIR to be in JAL. I know that the japanese are very particular about snowy fair complexion.

It is true that they prefer you to be fair. They tolld us that we are not allowed to go sun-tanning, but I know of many girls who dun follow the rules and tan anyway, and so far i don't think the company has done anything=) As long as you are not TOO dark, its fine.

As for interview, I'm not sure how it will be conducted coz the last interview was done differently from previous interviews. Mine was all self intros for all 3 rounds. Said the exact same thing to 3 diff groups of interviewers. They will then ask u some standard questions like "what are the qualities to be a crew" etc . Heard previously, there was role play too.

WOW. Thanks alot, I think i'll have to work on my whitening mask cause i'm quite tan. haha.

Anyway, I hope there's no role play this time, I really suck at it.

Btw, don't they have swimming or confidence test like SIA? Or uniform fitting test?

And for your case which is all self intro, how did they judge through your complexion and marks or scar? Did they check you for a while during the interview?
Sorry for asking too much Qs, really curious on the interviews cause it seems to be quite a fast process.

no swimming or confidence test. You don't really have to swim at all even during training.
During 3rd round, they will take u to a room to check your arms and legs for scars and tattoos.

its not too old. You can still get into SIA, Emirates, Qatar, UA, BA =)

Whole arms and legs? ha. ok. This is weird cause the uniform doesn't reveal the thighs, does it? sorry i haven seen jal full uni.
