Low, but not impossible.Still depends on a whole group of factors like age,education, family , length of stay in Singapore, nature of work in Singapore, contribution to Singapore, etc

They dont just look at one or two factors. They look into the application as a whole.

Do you think that an regular premium insurance with maturity on 10 years will increase my chances? I am using a SRS account already. Thanks!

How does that contribute to the country of Singapore? Far as I can see it only contributes to your own pocket. SRS accounts also, contribution to self only. I have to agree with SF. Low for the next couple of years. ICA will look at it, consider the fact that you are from a western country and will require you to be here for a fair number of years to ensure your ability to assimilate with the Asian population and to ensure you will even stick around, as the Finance Industry is noted for it reputation of parachuting people to and from different countries to gain international exposure. I am also pretty sure, in view of the current 'problem' world wide, that the financial sector is being hurt badly. So I reckon they will be taking a hard look an applications from Non-Asian applicants in this sector especially with rapid applications that automatically look like fear-applications. For the record, volunteering gets you nowhere today as that ruse has been worked to death and they have witnessed too many that volunteered only to see them stop as soon as they got their PR. Those before you have burned those bridges already.

Wait till 3rd NOA but don't keep you hopes up. Most VN have pretty poor luck in getting PR as I'm pretty sure you are already aware of (it is a pretty tight knit community here). If you feel like gambling, go ahead, but as I said, be prepared for an initial rejection. You are competing in the "others" demographic so you are at a distinct disadvantage as the number are small there demographically.

There's just a low quota (unpublished) for westerners. PR is mostly intended for nationalities closer aligned with Singapore. PR isn't seen as a casual change in residency status either - it's effectively seen as a path to citizenship.

However, low quota doesn't mean zero quota, so why not. One year here is far too low though.
