Took us to long to come up with something like this...after people have lost so much money.
Facebook is the worst place, advertisers and for sale listings - so many are scammers...seems like facebook has no protocol to establish campaign ads should be run from legit businesses only.
Let's hope this implementation works..

Majority of the deals in such marketplace is scam if the price is too cheap!
If it is too cheap and unbelievable a deal, it is likely a scam.
FB is the worst, any scammer can run ads and FB doesn't verify an account before the ads are live. There isn't any user protection and there is simply zero support from FB.

The only way to stop that kind of crap, especially on FB is for legitimate advertisers to refuse to use FB. Hurting the revenue stream is the only way to get FB to behave in any kind of ethical manner. They absolutely don't care who gets screwed with any of their policies, not just shitty scammers advertising their crap on FB.

Totally agreed.
Look like their ads, all the illegal gaming, immoral trades and bogus investment ads. Many are are falling into such scams daily as we speak. SG gov should enforce FB to vet the ads.

I think facebook and Instagram should require all new users to singpass to register or log in.. Only this way can we weed out Scammers in Singapore

Nothing the platform can do to prevent this from happening? Seems to be happening over and over and there are getting more cases like these:

What do you do when you have very political friends on facebook..keep ranting which party is better. I mean everyone's entitled to their own...

I find them to be rather irritating..my first move was to unfollow them (not unfriend).
