Mandarin Language Partner: English/Japanese in Return

Post by chgerdes » Sat, 19 Nov 2011 11:40 am

Hi,

I'm new to Singapore and want to learn some Mandarin. I spent some time studying and working abroad in Beijing for the past 2 summers but couldn't get around to studying it. At this point, I'm still a beginner learning some phrases but I have the advantage of being able to read/write some Chinese because of my Japanese background.

In exchange, I can either help you out in English or Japanese.
I speak native American English and my Japanese is about native fluency level as well. However, my writing and formal words (keigo) in Japanese isn't nearly as strong since I haven't has as much time or experience using it on a daily basis. I don't have a teaching background and my grammer isn't the best, but if you're looking to really learn to use a language, then talking to me might be the best practice you can get.

If you're interested, please PM me or let me know at the following email: [email protected]
