What's your best VOIP App for calling/texting?

Used Skype for years but suffered with bandwidth problems such as dropped call, poor connection and echo. Recently switched to Viber and find it superior in many ways. You don't have to have the app "up" to receive calls or txt, a huge bonus. Much cleaner and simpler interface and uses your phone co...

'twas either SE or me. Hey stranger, where you been! Long time since you popped in here. How's fishin'? Absolutely perfect, striped bass are moving inland now and will hit anything on the surface dawn and again at dusk. I lurk quite a bit, never post because I'm not a very good resource for i...

Just cut the valve off the hose and buy a local regulator for the tank end of the hose. $60 and $1.50 for the circle clamp. Simples Nice to see you're still giving useful advice SMS! I did this for our portable Weber a week or so after moving to Singapore and if I remember correctly you advised me....

I hope you'll put up another clip or some pictures from your rides. We're riding newer motocross bikes in Thai but have to leave them at the border of Myanmar and pick up a different ride. Carry our own gear, no chase vehicle, mostly offroad with a bit of paved in the mountains. I'll put up photos i...

Like what? SE, I'm assuming you mean what things he can learn from a craftsman that aren't often in books? Like what tools to buy and which to make, shortcuts to save materials and time, ways to quickly estimate material needs. How to organize the work, where to buy materials, how to navigate permi...

I tried to book a trip with the outfit in Vietnam, they're really nice folks but I just couldn't match schedules. I have a tentative arrangement with them for next October and will return with 6 or 7 guys that are retiring with me. Can't wait to ride with them after seeing your video! I did find a g...

Don't need it. I'm on the farm at the moment and been getting reacquainted for the past 2 weeks! And it sure feels good! Whoa! You're stateside? Were you home when that n'easter blew through last week? We were in the Adirondacks at Lake Placid and cut our vacation short to miss it. Also, if anyone ...

Hi SMS, it has been a long time, I can only blame working 7 days a week and travel. I've visited the forum a couple times but seems that once I lost pace it became more difficult to come online. You have to be getting closer to coming back to your farm by now? Thanks for the link Grumpy77, I'm going...

Motorbike tour in Golden Triangle, Vietnam, Camodia, Laos

I'm looking to book a moto trip in one of the above countries for a 5 or 6 day ride, either a road trip or combo on road/off road. Does anyone have experience with any of the tour operators offering these kind of rides? Better yet, anyone want to come along? Looking at November 10 thru November 17 f...

Sure, try hiring a nice, qualified person and not a stereotype based on nationality. Also? Hi is spelled with just one 'i'.
Practice what you preach. :) Do you ever get tired of looking down your nose at people?

As for not many people disagreeing with my assertion, could it be that many people agree or does that not figure in your thoughts? I already admitted that my 99% figure was inaccurate . . . can't read? If you'll re-read my post, my point was that it seems a lot of people may well share your dismal ...

Thank you all for your responses. I get the message loud and clear. As for asking a naive question, I didn't realize I was asking one. As someone being exposed to a new culture, it is only normal to have questions on practices that you aren't used to. I was asking one such question on a forum that ...
