There are many factors that insurer consider when rating the motor insurance. Nonetheless, the primary factors are:
- Past claims
- Age
- Gender/Martial
- Occupation
- Make and Model

Insurance below $1,000 are hard to come by nowadays even at 50% No Claim Discount.

I just got news from Chartis Singapore (fka AIG), that this volcano event is cover for Policyholders who purchased the travel insurance before 16 April 2010.

The coverage is on Trip curtailment and Travel delay.
