American Football on TV in Sing?

Hello, I am moving to Singapore in October from US. I realize American football is probably not a hot thing in Singapore. Does anyone know if there is any satellite/cable packages in Singapore to get taped delayed games?

I agree Rugby is a rough sport and is fun to watch. But you are seriously brain damaged if you think Football players are a bunch of pussies. Let's have a 250 pound line backer who is solid muscle come flying you at top speed and spear you in the chest with his helmet. In American football you dont have the luxury of throwing the ball away at any time to avoid getting hit, you have to take your hits like a big boy.

to be honest, in fact American Football is hot only in USA. Nobody else outside USA see this game or knows the players.
I liked a lot when I was in USA, specially the Raiders' games.

I hope you can find something on ESPN or something. Try some sports bars as well. I am sure you can find some supporters, not many, but you can find.

I'm told ESPN televises either the Sunday or Monday night football game over (which would be the next am in Spore). The Superbowl is telecast live as well.

Who do you root for? I'm a huge Steelers fan.

There's also an American Club that costs around $6,000 SD to join. I don't know if they know anything about the NFL (or show it), but seems like a logical choice.

If you find out anything else, let me know, and I'll do the same.

Well ib Europe it's a bit more easy, I was watching most of the Games, not live, cause that would be morning @ 3.... Except the Superbowl, that is a must ...hehehe....

Here I think will be a bit hard, cause u can not have a Sat Reciver, Singapore (if Im not mistaken) does not allow Sat at all...

So what I do (when I like to see whatever from my country) I go online, and here with the 6500 or 25000 downstram suppose to be good enough....

ESPN on Cable TV in Singapore has been showing the Sunday Night and Monday Nite games live for the past several years. That is Monday and Tuesday morning here. When daylight savings comes, you can catch much of the 2nd Half during a lunch hour at one of several pubs. Try Brewerkz, Dan Ryan's, The American Club (if you are a member), Bisous or others. Most places will change the channel from another sports station if no one else is watching. They often show repeats at around midnight. We normally do not get the Thanksgiving game, but they show some of the playoff games and the Super Bowl. Few college games are shown. MLB and NBA are sometimes shown, but generally, it is all what most of the rest of the world calls football here, esp. English Premier League. If you are coming from a place with NFL Ticket, prepare to starve.

I just got back from my first week in Sing (househunting trip) and quickly realized I will have to give up alot of the things I like over here in the US (American sports being first). Although, I did enjoy watching Australian rules football so there still may be hope for me to be converted.

I root for the Eagles, so not a big Steelers fan to say the least:)

My company is generously flipping the bill for the American club so should be able to catch some more games hopefully. If the steelers are on I'll let you know and you can guest it in with me if you are not a member

just got the letter from starhub, they put most of the games on the paytv, starting first week of october... Cost are about $90 for all views, sorry dont remember. Missed the timetable... Was not on the prospect...

Yeah man, go rothleisburger. I tend to use the NFL.com gamecenter to keep track of whats going on, plus ESPN has boomer on Sunday mornings with the highlights. thats about it.

NFL sunday ticket on Starhub now broadcasts 4 games during Sunday afternoon (Mon morning overnight). Brings a total of 6 games available here in SG. I bought a DVD/Hard drive recorder when I arrived in SG and record the games. It's easier to watch when I have the time.
