Can anyone please advise where i can find more info on the above subject? Is the buffet the one which cost quite a bomb, around $70+++.??
Have anyone been to the buffet before, please share with me if it's worth the money, & also the name of the restaurant in the hotel.
Thanks!

I believe it is called "The Line", and I have eaten there a few times for work-related occasions. There is enough variety to suit most tastes, and you can eat as much as you like. Is it worth it? Depends on your budget and occasion. I think you're about right at 70 +++ Personally if it were my money I would prefer to eat somewhere else with more atmosphere (The Line has a somewhat sterile ambience), the real thing in Little India or Chinatown at a fraction of the price would be more my cup of tea.
Also could consider Straits Kitchen at the Hyatt Scotts Road, slightly cheaper (58+++?), and food just as good.

Hi,
I would say Shangri-La's buffet spread is pretty good but of course the price is rather steep. Why not try the buffet @ Ritz Carlton? It's much cheaper. The ambience is good too.

There are variety of food at 'The Line' in the Shangri-La restaurant.Pretty good at least. However like ECT just said the ambience to me is more 'ultra chic' and 'ultra modern'..feels more like going in to a lounge/pub rather than a restaurant.Even weirder walking in for breakfast!

The Shangri-la's buffet isn't very good for the price. It's not worth it, unless you can spend 2 hours+ eating!
There's a good buffet at the Holiday Inn Park View on Cavenagh Road. It's only around $20. Nice laksa and stuff. Not much in terms of western food, but a lot of local food. Great fish and chips too.

It might be totally unrelated, but that hotel is on the same corner as the Erawan Shrine which had the peculiar terrorist attack years ago.
