I would say Brazil has again great chances to win.
but most important is: to see Argentina eliminated ;)

As much as I'd like to see Brazil win again, just for the sake of the Beautiful Game, I must say that odds are against. We have not seen a Double since 1962 and South Americans traditionally do not perform well on European turf. So the throphy will return to Europe, but certainly not to England or the Netherlands, both hugely mismanaged teams.

So cast your vote, JayV

I think the Argies will do it, plus they scare the crap out of Brazil which is always good fun.

Argentina
France
Brazil

England
Brazil
Argentina

But then, I would say that, wouldn't I?

Also, Superedge, clicked on your link, thinking was going to find out something interesting....and it's all in, is it Spanish?

How I wish I could make head or tail of it.....

French I could do a bit, but other languages, apart from my native one, are like a puzzle.

Do you think there really is a 'gene' for learning languages?

Of course it goes without saying: Wish Holland will win, but reality may not be like that....

Brasil is simply the best, Germany is at home and a tournament tiger, Argentina is always a good one, France is still there.

So after some deep thinking:

Brasil - Holland will be the final, not sure if we can make it...

Germany - Argentina for the no. 3 position.

Btw, JayV, what is mismanaged at the Dutch team? One can say a lot about our team, but with Marco van Basten as the coach, it is clearly not exactly mismanaged. :?

Argentina vs Italy in the final...

.. this is after Brazil lost out to an own goal to Argentina in the semis

Holland will go the distant but will lose their composure on penalty shootouts to Italy

France is really the aged version of the team of 6 years ago. I seriously doubt it.

Germany will surprise me if they really get into the semi finals.

I think in the semi final, there'll be a black horse.

I would love to see England win a penalty shoot out for a change & against Argentina would be perfect.

I don't think Germany have a good enough side for the home fans to give them enough of an edge to go all the way.

Greece may do quite well on the back of their result in Euro 04,

France & Italy have the potential to win, but are very sensitive, if they start to lose their heads go down & it is difficult for them to pull it back.

If I were to put money on it then Brazil, but obviously I hope England will do it, '66 was a long time ago

 My bad - I thought it was strange that I hadn't heard about them in all the talk about the world cup.

Well on that faux pas you can take my opinions & use them to help plan the next solar powered torch
