Anyone heard of this indian restaurant at Peninsula Plaza?

Anyone heard of this indian VEGETARIAN restaurant at Peninsula Plaza? Basically, you pay whatever amount you think it's appropriate after your meal...sounds cool eh.

I'm thinking of going there this friday night or saturday afternoon. But I need to gain more information first, anyone has any idea?

hmmm, i thought the indian veg restaurant @ peninsula is komala? i've been there a couple of years back, not sure if they changed hands already... paid less than $10 for some nice decent indian food!

The one I've posted is not in Peninsular but has the concept solarv mentioned so I posted it anyway.

Let me amend some information here.

Komala's is at Penisula Plaza. Annalaxmi is at Peninula Hotel.

Annalaxmi is "pay what you feel". Komala's is menu and fixed price based.

Annalaxmi is typically buffet food.

Komala's is snacks, meals etc.

Annalaxmi is like a restaurant. Komala's is more like "let me eat and get out of here fast".

Annalaxmi can be used for a first date. Komala's can be used for 10th date. (No! I have never done something like that, so dont go chucking rocks at me).

Annalaxmi is run by volunteers some of whom are professionals with day jobs. Komala's has staff on their rolls.

Annalaxmi is part of a charitable organization and connected to the cultural organization (not sure of which). Komala's belongs to a family who run all outlets in Singapore.

That's it! I cant go anymore.

I went there last saturday...unfornately, that day was their last day...They are looking for a new place to rellocate...Hope they could find a new home as soon as possible.

Any similar kind of indian restaurant in Singapore? I'm desperate for indian food...

There's also a very reasonably-priced one in Tekka Mall. If I can recall the name I will post again.

No - not many of those around. For goodness sake, if you're desperate for Indian food, you'll just have to open your wallet.
