Hi Guys,

This week's WNDC, we are going to Bar Sa Vahn, on Club Street.

See you all, as usual, 8pm.

How many people turn up to one of these? How do I recognise the group in general?

I'm thinking about coming along for the 1st time ...

I went for my first WDNC last week.

Last week, there were about 25-30 people there at the peak which was about 9.30-10.00.

It's not too difficult to spot - although I did get confused because there was another group there (some corporate function). I just said I'd be wearing a bright green polo and a bunch of people actually came up to me and said "Hi. You must be homeless28 from the forum."

You coudl do something similar. Of course it means you'd have to wear something bright and outlandish for the night - but it works!

Goto pass the koi pond, to the back of the bar, we should be camping out there. If not sure, look for Liz, the bar manager, she can direct you to us.

An OZ friend visiting from Cambodia on his way back there from JB is coming with me maybe.
Only errr how to give direction to this place from JB as the last time he was here was 15 years ago when he was a kid?!

Well the way I see it nowadays it has to come from you yourself, to approach people esp. strangers in this kind of rendezvous where some even already formed their own group(s)...

Then again, to the newbies who hesitate, as a very good friend was saying, in order to be happy, one needs to be shameless!
I know how difficult it can be. I would bring a friend to a place full of strangers most of the time unless I have a good impression on the other person... Usually it's right...
