Why watch football when you can see a replay of the 2005 National Jumproping Championships or highlights from Bulgarian Agricultural League Soccer? Last year, the heavens opened, a ray of light shown down from the sky and for the first time, Starhub Cable offered NFL Ticket. And it was good. This year they are not offering it. Starhub giveth and Starhub taketh away. Again, we can now see only the Sunday Night and Monday Night Games on ESPN, but primarily for those who do not need to work for a living since they begin at 8-830 am. When daylight savings comes to the US however, you can catch much of the Monday Night Game during the lunch hour.
In the meantime, however, like the Berlin Airlift after the wall was raised in Berlin, the fine pub/restaurant "Bisous" has agreed to open up their doors by request at 800 (or whenever the game begins) for the Sunday Night Game and/or Monday Night Game on big screen TV. They will also cook you up a kickass breakfast and saturate you with coffee. So far we (5-6 people) have held two such 'breakfast meetings'--the Manning Bowl and yesterday's Wash-Dallas game. Next week I will not be around, so I am not sure if anyone will organise it. We should probably have at least 5 people to make it worth their while as they have to drag their sleepy cook over.
