I Personally find that Hairy crabs flesh don’t taste as zesty compare with ordinary crab, but its roe is fresh and sweet, female crab with more roes....It was so rich, smooth and delicious, so nice, so good. Yum, yum, yum..

as conclusion the prized item of hairy crab is the roe !!!
At the end of the hairy crab pig-out session a cup of ginger tea will be served, coz Hairy crabs are supposed to be "cooling" in nature, the ginger tea serves to neutralise the cooling effect thus restoring balance in the body. But the crabs are supposedly best served with Shaoxing wine which also has the same neutralising effect.

1stly, there r too much of crabbing tis mth... (twice in a mth! if my memory still serves mi rite )
2ndly, itz at de end of de mth n accountants need to close off company accounts... (so? nothing to do wif us rite? ya i noticed tat too...)
3rdly, itz a very auspicious date wif tonz of eventz going on on tat wkend... ppl getting married, kidz r born, children celebrating their day, etc. (again, none of our business! )

after discussing wif some of us, (cant remember who i talked to ) i would like to suggest to shift it to de 2nd friday of october! which is oct-13

Actually, i am fine with both dates.

Oct 6 is the mid-autumn festival, do we need to bring lantern and mooncake there?

Hey CrystalJade and Everyone here,

I prolly won't be able to make it on Oct 13..... do keep me posted on the final date, i will join if i am in SG then ...

Am still OK for Sept 29 .... in fact i've never eaten hairy crabs before and was really looking forward to it ...

In any case, keepings fingers and toes crossed, hopefully i can make it on the finalised date ...

Crystaljade, you are the one who make final decision on the date. It is better to choose the date with most responses regardless all other factors. Much easier for you, right?
