Hi i am Ah Sing, in Singapore for almost 13 years, rarely has any H.K friend...really wish to join u guys for outing...especially fishing/ pool if any...hope this presence will grow tremendously

My wife is moving from HK to join me in SG sometime in April 2007 with my (then) 6-month old son. I move from KL to SG at the end of Febuary

What are the chances of being able to help her adjust?

One question i do have....... I am a Scot, spent 8-yrs in HK (hence i met my wife) from '94 and the last 4.5yrs in KL so can pretty much make adjustments etc. and can see the good and bad in any country, even my own.

My wife has never stayed overseas for anything longer than a 2-wk holiday someplace and indeed still shares an apartment with her parents. She still feels "There's no place like home" and HK is the best at everything so for you that are from HK, how would you actually rate it as a comparison?

Well, i am a singaporean here whom is crazy about HK movies, HK Drama Series, Variety Shows.. basically everything bout HK.
I am a Cantonese but very sucky when speaking Canto. Maybe i seldom talk Canto therefore lack the practise.

Hmm... I was also pretty shock to see so many ppl from HK in Sg.

well, being a Singaporean cantonese here since birth, those cantonese at my age (36/M) mostly married, I wonder can i as a singaporean, join you guys for gathering? I love to know more cantonese as i find cantonese is the most wonderful dialect in the world.
