Hi,

I am intending to start a company in Singapore and need to get in touch with a lawyer, who would process the company setup etc. Please PM me if there is someone who can do this.

You don't need a lawyer. What you do need is an accountant/CPA familiar with the rules and regulations for setting up a company in Singapore.

I self incorporated, and saved quite a lot of money in the start-up process.

Yes, setting up the business is quite easy and inexpensive. What makes things more complicated is the need to keep proper records. For example, you must have an annual general meeting with minutes that show things like the company's performance. You need directors resolutions for everything from opening a bank account to adding a director to declaring a dividend or directors payment (as opposed to non director's salary). This is why I use a CPA... she keeps everything in order to avoid possible voiding a valid company charter.

Yup that is true, I recommend self-incorporating through the internet, and then hire a CPA when the need arises. If I am not wrong, you wouldn't need a CPA until after 12 months of incorporation.

It definitely is true that hiring a CPA will save you lots of 'trouble' of filing the minutes, managing acounts etc... While leaving you precious time to do what's most important - Running your business

To add on, above is for those corporate listed under PL.
For BS & LLP, u does not need to hold a AGM early & no audit requirement. So which business type u interested in?
