Halo all, I'd like to go to Bintan on 4 Feb. Is one day enough? Has anyone been there before? Can anyone tell us a bit of what we should do and where we should go? such as: sightseeing? beach? massage? shopping?ect....Thx

As far as I can remember from the last time I went almost exactly 1 year ago, all nationalities except Singaporeans need a visa on arrival at Bintan (well its a de facto Singapore colony right?). It will cost you US$10 and you must pay it with a crispy US green back, not the equivalent in S$ and most certainly not in rupiahs.
Any resemblance between this arrangement and a handy way to get hard currency into the Indonesian coffers is entirely intentional. Oooh I'm feeling cynical tonight.

Better check which nationalities need to apply for visa. Citizens from ASEAN countries definitely doesn't require any visa

Count me in. ASEAN citizens won't need VISA, all others can get VISA on arrival.

I'm sure you're right about ASEAN citizens but I can't remember. I was standing in queue with the Fillipina maids though who were all asked to hand over 10 of George W's beer vouchers - in cash.
