Slang..

Post by Shankar » Tue, 05 Jun 2007 5:40 pm

Shan .. u my man.. i know u do daru. Vasugiri too?? haha
Hey Dude... feels great we are closing in.. Karoake would be lovely. I have a few disks which I shall bring along if I get hold of it from my store.

Karoake disks are available in Mustafa & the 2 shops opposite to new mustafa, if anyone needs to buy.

FYI, I am a south indian and have learnt Hindi from Amitabh & Dharmendar.. Though I am thorough with most tunes, my words for most songs will be my own OR what comes in my mouth at that time. :D :D :D

As to Daaru I have a bot of whisky which I can bring along.
and dude whats Vaasugiri... never heard of it.. though I do Dadagiri at times.. :D :D

Leo - Megha's home was a different story

Post by dudevinod » Tue, 05 Jun 2007 6:48 pm

Hi Leo.. u do have a point, tho i must say that Megha's home was a different story. Half the crowd did not know the other half and people were walking in at all times and the crowd was in exit mode.. when the singing started.

Its hard to make too many groups.. so we have to stick to a theme.. either music or cards.. as if u read the posts.. a few of them not int in cards at all.

However, as Shankar says.. "In Cards there are many variations.. there are as much simpler games but including a small betting can add to the fun. ".. so then again.. there will be a "kanjus" crowd or a "principled" crowd.. who wont want to gamble. So lets get the interested people only to avoid all this confusion. It does not have to be a big crowd.

It will be nice if the group that comes in stays till the end.. instead of jus paying a visit etc.. then we can all have fun.

Shan, thanks for the Karaoke Cd's - i will bring the ones i have. Ajit.. confirm the venue and the food. Booze .. two bottles from my side.

The Single guys can pitch in with the snacks and the sodas and the beer.

The family guys can bring in a dish.. or to save the hassle can do a Pizza thingie.. if nobody is keen on cooking. ITs the company that counts... not the food.

Ajit.. do me a favour.. finalize the list and then we can decide on the venue.

Ping the few regulars like Anish -Megha, Neeraj-Kiran, Ajay-Poonam, etc.. to see if they are on, or whoever u think have not been loggin on the forum.

Its Tuesday.. lets have it all in place by tom - wed evening atleast.

Cheers,

Dude

Rummy Knock Out

Post by Shankar » Tue, 05 Jun 2007 7:51 pm

Hi Guys

I would suggest "320 points Knock out " in Rummy for $5 or $10 per entry by a person would be best suitable, for the game gives option for a person to pack for each round & does not need concentration like say "3 cards".

The game goes on on one side and gives lot of time for people to go and fetch their own snacks drinks and sing songs and even have conversations.

End of each round, we have to note down the points on a paper. I guess I have 3 packs of some new cards and lets see how the mood goes.

Cheers!!!

Uno should be a good card game...., You can also add in activities like Housie wherein each playing member chips in the amount to buy housie tickets and the member completing first house, second house or full house gets a share of the prize amount...

Ajit, just invited me to come in to join the fun. I will check with my wife and let you all know by tomorrow.

Cheers,

Rocks...

Post by Shankar » Wed, 06 Jun 2007 6:20 pm

Hi all , Great to hear we are rocking and dreaming of an all nite bash after a real long time.

forgot about another thing is that I smoke, so hope there is a smoking corner even if it is outside the house.

is there a Parking lot for visitors??? if so I can drive down and we can take a drive to fetch things...

Pizza I guess is most ideal. Instant Pratas & egg burjis are some easy snacks if there is a kitchen. Else we can pick up wafers , local Kacang, bujia etc.

Way to Go,,

Cheers!!!
