football?

Y'oughtta try the American Club. Maybe they can help you get recruits from the Singapore American School. But touch football - if you guys play that in full gear, the heat'll kill ya. Unless Boston gets tropical-type heat and you're used to these temperatures and the humidity.

More Details, Please?

Post by Luvs2BSpoild » Mon, 27 Feb 2006 5:33 am

Hi there!

Could you please provide more details as to age group, location, how often you are looking to play, etc?

Depending upon the details, I may be able to help you out as I have two teenage boys myself.

Regards.

Actually, SACAC does have an American Football Program wherein the teams actually do play in full uniform! The rules are changed slightly (number of water breaks), but the program is quite successful in several age groups and the guys survive just fine! Just have to keep them hydrated in this heat and humidity! :D

Oh wow.. full gear?? I was thinking more along the lines of flag football, or touch football, meaning no gear, no tackling. I'll see if the American club has anything to offer and re-post here.

Hi,

I'll be moving to Singapore by the end of this month. I'm a huge US football fan and would love to join some related activities. I'm planing on taking a couple of footballs with me.

If nothing comes up we can at least get together to do some throw and catch, don't mind at all.

Sounds good MX. Drop me a PM when you're here and we'll try and get a small throwing session.

Anyone else play football or wanna join the fun???

A good introduction would be if everybody who was interested in playing football, came to KM8 to the volleyball gathering.

There are lots of open spaces on the beach, that a (American) football could be tossed around.
A time a place could be set up for something a little more organized and
you might even be able to recruit some more players.

This is a thread below about trying to get a game together this weekend
they guy with the ball, pick a day and time
make it firm and post it
I'll show for sure, rain or shine

Build it and they will come (I know that was a baseball movie, but that is the best I could think of)
