my colleague's daughter goes to ERIS and she loves it. it is a good school from what i heard. you shld try tho.

Belle - to give you some objective information rather than attacking other respondents.

Firstly, you need to make your own decision about whether this school is suitable to you and your child, please take the time to assess how it will fit with your cultural as well as learning expectations.

Our child was enrolled in ERIS and attended from its opening in January until withdrawl recently. The school functions, however there are many area's that display how new the school is, and its limited roll.

To summarise, the school did not meet our expectations in the education it delivered, in extra-curricular activities, in the resources it used or provided for the students or the social iinteraction for the children. Others may have a different view, please note that this is a personal opinion based on our expectations.

The fees are competitive at ERIS, however we decided that paying more was worth it for the emotional, intelectual and social development of our child as they are more important than the money.

When evaluating any school, ensure you look past marketing material and view with your own eyes the actuality of the situation and how your child will fit in.

You sound like you're expecting to get sued for saying even this much.

Can you give a few concrete details?

I thought this thread was supposed for the PRESCHOOL ONLY? So it would actually helpful to mention what grade those students being discriminated? And if anyone has any experience that is not pleasant, share it objectively and try to be more specific. Remember this is expat forum where some people wants to find out real experiences from other parents. Cause it will help others to know and prevent bad things from happening. Thank you!

Interesting viewpoint you mention. Especially the part about mentioning what grades are being discriminated. It's okay to discriminate as long as it's not the grade YOUR kid is in? I'd be interested in the concept of the whole if it were me. Oh, it's rather hard for a parent (of a young child) to be objective about bad experiences foisted on either them or their kids don't you think?

If you want a thread that doesn't meander then start on in the Strictly Speaking forum. Otherwise, it's human nature for people to respond to other's responses. Just like this one!

Hi,

Now that school has started I was wondering if anybody could share how they feel about ER International School. My 2 girls, 6 yr old and 14 yr old, will be starting when we move over in about 2 weeks. Just wondering how it is going..

Cant talk for ER school, but my wee boy started at OFS on monday for the first time at 10 years old...his mother(my wife) had all the fears a mother has, but my wee boy has not stopped smiling since he started!!
He reckons he has friends from many countries and religions and races and its brill!

We have 3 kids 14,13,10. We plan to move over and need to know about education provision.

Hi,

My children are starting at ER International School mid next week (barring any unforseen issues). I will post something next week after they start to let you know how it went. I have a 6 yr old and 14 yr old, so I can cover both ends of the spectrum..
