I was relocated by my company to work in Singapore 4 months ago and I'm still trying hard to not feel like a tourist. I came across this forum and glad to know there is a CGC organizing activities so people like me, who is new to this country, can get to know more friends and expand our networks.

BTW, I have a question... hope it doesn't sound too stupid, as I really don't know where to register as member of CGC (do we need to register at all?) And, where to see all the post events you guys talked about? I would like to join Mahjong, Yum Chai, Movie or Dinner activities if possible.

I m pretty good with colloquial canto... but it's getting rustier with time since I dun use it that much any more

unfortuantely for me...

I used to live in HK (for 3 yrs) and have lots of HK frens and my best fren is male... so that explains where i picked up the delay no more, deng, yew, pk and siew beng

really miss the good old days in HK... i still go back (yea, i said go back cos HK is a 2nd home to me now) once or twice a year cos i really miss my frens...

i hope all of u enjoy singapore as much as I enjoy hk

and hope to meet up with everyone soon!

have a wonderful stay in singapore!

Do you know that we've had more than 10 meetings by now with different CGC members and their friends? All you have to do is to let the organizer count you in and then show up for the 1st meeting. Subsequently, you'll be invited through SMSes because many of the events are 'private' and are not posted! 'Private' meaning people don't want to invite complete strangers to their home, for example.
