It's reeeally nice. The humidity is pretty intense and I sweat and am greasy all the time but that doesn't bother me too much. The food is great and sooo cheap. Everywhere is clean. The shopping is not for me but it's nice to see something different.

I speak English quite well but sometimes people don't understand me. Is it my British accent or do I speak too quickly? And how do you know who you can speak Chinese to when most people look Oriental?

Well girl..I think you can just speak english to them...Perhaps slower next time if they can't catch what u're saying..Here in Singapore its not like 10 years back..Theres lots of expats and other foreigners who made this country their home..so dont be surprise that u're talking to a foreigner..maybe China nationals etc..its quite tough for others to "understand" ur accent..but trust me..the locals here should have no problem at all...

Welcome to Singapore. Im a local but was raised in Sydney.Been back for awhile although i seem to have one foot in singapore and the other in sydney.
Im not much of a shopper and i dont drink but im always up to try anything new and exploring.
