Socceroos Back In Singapore
Aidan Ormond
Four Four Two
EXCLUSIVE: It's understood the Socceroos will again look to Singapore as a training base ahead of their crucial World Cup clash in China on March 26.
And au dot fourfourtwo dot com believes a squad of A-League and Olyroo players will again be called up to the squad to provide training cover should there be issues with European-based Roos leading into the China game.
The Socceroos used Singapore as a base in the lead up to 2007 Asian Cup, playing a friendly against a local side. It's said they were impressed with the excellent facilities in the tiny state.
Flying time from Singapore to southern China – where the match is being held on a Wednesday night – is roughly two and a half hours. Once again, the European Socceroos will be flying in after completing their weekend matches across Europe.
