G'day Jason and welcome - check out some of the boards on this forum - there are plenty of drinking clubs, sporting stuff, cultural activities. The search function comes in quite handy!

Also of use is the sistic.com.sg site - it lists pretty much all upcoming major events (and local ones, too).
