Golf Schools in Asia

Has Anyone attended a quality Golf school in Asia - I use to go to one in San Diego USA that was one week long, pretty intensive and helped me to play a little better, at least for a few weeks and then slowly deteriorated so that I needed to go back again once per year. my game has now reached the status where i need a refresher - desparately, and San Diego is a little far. I have done some research and found a couple, so I'm really looking for personal recommendations.

I took my lessons and handicap in the US. In Singapore, the coach are either looking to earn your money or they are simply arrogrant. I remember when I went to a driving range in Singapore and was practising my drive. Next to me was a golf coach and his 2 students. Instead of teaching his students and guiding them, he simply gave them 4 baskets of golf balls and asked them to hit. Guess what he did next? He came over and chat with me!!!! Asking me questions such as " where did you learn your golf? You hit really good for a petite girl etc" blah blah blah.... And those 2 poor girls are left alone trying to hit the ball by themselves. When I told him that i learnt it in the US, He started to prove his worth as a coach by CORRECTING my Stroke!!! It was so rubbish! I told him off... Can you imagine you are the students paying the coach per hour to teach and there he was idling his time away?

I am glad that I took my course in the US...I had the best coach ever...If you are still interested in finding a golf school in singapore, you can check with the singapore golf assosciation.

Thanks for the reply, you pretty much verify what my thoughts were on coaching in Singapore. However, I am really looking outside of Singapore, anywhere with less than 3-4 hours flying. I was reading about a 5 day golf school in Thailand and another in Vietnam, the problem is, I may end up with the same poor quality, so I was really hoping someone here has had a good experience, or knows a freind who had fun and can give me a recommendation. I'm looking more for a one week golfing vacation that has lessons from a good school as well as getting the chance to play a few rounds, on some nice courses, in any country around us.

I'd like to recommend Mr Vincent Lee whom I used to take lessons from. He gives very clear instructions cum demonstrations, while explaining the physics behind it, thus enabling me to understand and execute the motion effectively.

I had taken lessons from a couple of other golf instructors previously and I find that he is very much better.
