Organic Cotton Moses Basket

Post by Tenille » Wed, 06 Aug 2008 10:08 am

Can anyone suggest a place where I can buy an organic cotton moses basket or crib?

What is recommended for an infant bed - basket, crib, cot???

Are you talking about the sheets? as Moses baskets are normally made from a weaved plant product,

If you go for a Moses basket get a stand. We bought all three, and never used the crib, or cot, in fact with hindsight, we would just buy one of the those folding baby travel beds. folds to small brief case size, great for breast feeding as baby sleeps in the bed with you. Easy to travel with, so no matter where you are baby has his familiar bed. I think its by Safety first or first Safety.

mothercare has a good selection of moses baskets/stands. if you borrow or buy a secondhand crib/cot - best to buy a new mattress. with our first i bought a moses basket & crib but he ended up sleeping in the bassinet of the buggy beside our bed.. :o
the second one went straight into a cot with no problem.
depending on the size of the baby - they may grow out of a moses basket quite quickly.
also - with our first we had a standard size crib - but not easy to move from room to room (or apt to apt) so we had to keep breaking it down. the second we bought a smaller cot from mothercare and it's easy to move about if necessary (fits through the apt doorways without a problem).

Mothercare Moses Basket with White Stand

Post by leeyanchang » Fri, 15 Aug 2008 2:49 am

I have a used Mothercare Moses Basket with White Stand for my daughter. She slept in it from birth until she's grown too big. I am thinking of selling it off at a low price. For more information, contact me at 9622-1266.
