Thanks for all the advise everyone...I am just doing the best that I can...my youngest has been sick for the past two days with fever (took him to the dr today) so it has really drained me and I am pretty sleep deprived. Thanks also for the maid links, I should have some luck with Nation, I sent in e-mails and I got a call back...so we'll see...keep fingers crossed for us!
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?

I am in the same boat as you. I have spoken to so many friends back in the states to make me feel less homesick and it helps. Each tells me it will get better and I know it will. We just need to stick to it. I am in the Novena area (still getting familiar with all of the locations), let me know if you ever want to meetup.

Get Skype and you can talk for hours. I sometimes have talks with my mother that last for 2.5 hours at a stretch on Sunday evenings where we talk, argue, bicker, (all about politics) and then converse about other odds & sods. (she's 82) Skype is worth it. I use an unlimited subscription that only costs about S$5+ a month.

well i guess those are the pains that a parent should go through. Its better if you learn how to deal with it first. Cmon, your parents went through the same Sh*t and i'm sure they didn't complain much because they love you.
If you are working, then a maid might be an option. But leaving your kids to a stranger is quite risky. You gotta spend more time with them while they are growing up. Unless you got your retired in laws to take care of them in the morning.
There's nothing much I can say, just suck up to it. That's life.

Ponder this.... if an uneducated person (maid) can handle children 24/7, I think we can do much much better.
Don't think of what you are missing now. Once these children's wonder years are gone, you will be missing these later on.
