I'm Nikon as well, but no "racism" against Canon

Unfortunately I work in practice all the time, I'm only free staurdays (pm) and sundays.

How about sunday 14, I heard that it is closure day for the Lantern Festival, so I thought it would be nice to hang loose in Chinatown

i checked the website, the rules don't say anything about nikon not being allowed. photos must be taken with a digital camera though, and no image editing is allowed.

the date is oct 18 (that would be a saturday) and entry fee is $10. however, looks like it's an individual and not a group event!

Love what you are going in this thread. How about we provide a prize for the best shot taken on your next outing. We are an Australian company who have recently set up in Singapore. We print photographs on fine art canvas.

Sorry for not posting, been buzy with work, planning for vacation & back from vacation - exhausted.

My old SLR camera became faulty and never got into photo shooting after that.. and hope the community makes me buy a DSLR soon.

Shankar - usually, but it's not termed that anymore - it's usually the lowest shutter speed. You WILL need to check the manufacturers, though - not all are created equal!

Thanks for the info alpha. The problem with lowest shutter speed is that it is still timed. Whereas with B setting we can have the shutter open as long as we want. Let me try browsing.

Yup, Canon EOS allows shutter speed changing, it's a tricky business though.
