I like live music, rock and metal above all. I know there's a few bands and clubs of that kind, but is someone into the scene around this forum?

Hey! I love love love going to gigs, and it's one big thing I miss about my life in the UK. Not quite into stuff as heavy as metal...but I'm open to anything

Im 100 percent in this category. More into metal, heavy and thrash metal.

Montley crue is down next week but the tickets are pretty pricey. Heard Avenged sevenfold is having a concert somewhere around the 20th this month too. Can check it out at sistic.

Its hard to find a bar that plays this kind of music as very very few ppl listen to this kind of music.

I'm one too. As bandung said, it seems thats its quite hard to find a good place to listen to rock/metal. There's some decent blues places like The Crazy Elephant, but not too many.

So if anyone has suggestions for a good place for listening to some good music or a good concert, I'm up for it.

Yeah I love rock as well. I usually go upstairs from Crazy Elephant to China One. They play some nice rock there, but really missing stuff from Stone Temple Pilots, RHCP, Him, Foo Fighters, Ash, Radiohead etc.

Gutted slipknot chose to bypass Singapore again!

I've often heard Radiohead/RHCP/Foo Fighters in Singapore. That's all pretty standard anywhere. I'm missing the less mainstream stuff from home.

I went to the Ash gig the other week...which was awesome, but so overpriced. I'm considering Avenged Sevenfold...kind of marks the end of my 2 weeks of exam/assignment stress. Was never a big fan of them on record, but they were awesome when I saw them live at Leeds festival one year. It's October 24th at Max Pavillion (Expo) at around $90-$100 a ticket if I remember correctly.

There's something on this weekend that looks like more my kind of thing, but I'll be busy revising
