maybe you can share which credit card is that?
after doing a search on foreign transactions with credit cards, i finally found that Capital One the only card as far as i can find that doesnt charge bank admin fees and even reimbursing the 1% fee imposed by MasterCard/Visa

Anyone here know if there is a Singapore version of the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card?
Some friends of mine had them the U.S and Canada. Its quite good, they always got at least 2-3 free 4star hotel stays a yr with it; and they offer flight, cash back and gifts similar to diners but with much better rates

For KFM, one of the best cards is the CitiPremier Miles Card
Conversion is S$0.83 per KFM
Amex normal cards are the best for KFM, don't use Amex KF Gold unless you want only the 5000 Free KFM
Normal Amex Cards give conversion ratio of 1.2 KFM per S$1.60 spent
which is greater than 1KFM per S$1.60 spent on the Amex Gold KF Card

One of my friend is using American express card of DBS. It has miles conversion rate of S$1 = up to S$1.6 miles. So you can think of this as well.
You can get more details at bit.ly/d41eRo
