Hi everyone, I came from shanghai of China, and I have been here for nearly 3 months, learning English. Hope to make new friends here to spend my spare time and learning foreign culture. I'm easygoing, like sports, traveling, movie, dancing..... oh, if you're interested in Mandarin, I can teach you.

In any case, feel welcome to this multi racial city of colour lovers. Sure hope u enjoy every day of your time spent here.

Hey Viki.
Been meaning to learn Mandarin as well. And I could teach you English in exchange

. I actually just wanna pick up the basic Mandarin phrases first (don't know more than xie xie and nihao)
PM me or email me at
[email protected]. I can also be reached at 97761393. Maybe we can meet can chat first or meet for coffee.
And I have to agree with the rest about being careful about people you meet (everyone keeps telling me that at work...been here for a month).
Dev.

For any place its e same for meeting strangers.
It will always be much better meeting people in a group for a start.
Suggest u join one of those movie or coffee sessions.

Hi there....
As a local I would like to say Welcome. If there is one thing I know well about this place is that there are awesome places to eat. If you need a food tour guide, let me know haha....
Maybe when I meet up with my gal-pals, I can ask you along as well...
I do some cooking and baking myself, but doesn't always turn out well...
Cheers

Are you sure Singaporeans prefer to speak English to you?
I notice that locals loved to speak Mandarin alot, and prefer Mandarin to English.
