International shipping

My husband and I are trying to get a subscription to Time magazine delivered here in Singapore, but its about $160 with the international shipping charges (as compared to $25 in the US).

I read about the vPost service that the post office does here and it looks like a possibility. I'm just wondering if its as good as it sounds.

Anyone ever used it? How was it? Was it worth it?

i just subscribed to national geographic from www.mag-ez.com and i see they carry TIME, too, for S$90:

i used vPost before for Amazon, and i heard that a lot of people bought their iphones/ipods in the us via vPost in the first place, however, keep in mind that the service is a "way of tricking" the different retailers and i also heard of many people where the goods were actually not sent.

however, i havent used it for a long time and it might be better now or more secure.
