Entry requirements:Trying to move with my fiance

Hello,
Hoping someone can help address some questions regarding employment in Singapore. My fiance is moving february 1 to Singapore with his current company as a sponsor (we are US-based). I am an established professional in my field, and will look to be employed there as well. We are not yet married (and will not be so in the next 12 months), and though I am looking for employment prior to the move, I am not certain it will be established at that point.

I understand I can get an EPEC if i don't find employment prior to my arrival - but can i go over on a standard visitors pass (90 days) and file all the appropriate paperwork while I am there? If so, what do i claim on the customs form when i fly in? We need to be ther in 7 weeks and I'm not sure all the paperwork will go through by the time I need to leave?

Any other advice?

Your fiance should, at the very least, have the Approval-in-Principle letter for the EP before setting foot here. You can also apply for a Long-Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP) as his common-law wife, but this can get complicated, so the EPEC is a better bet if you have the qualifications for it and are planning on working here. There is no reason not to get the EPEC right away, since it will also make your job hunting much easier.

Are there any other documents i need to obtain in order to get into the country after I recieve the EPEC? Do i then need to fill out paperwork for a visa and/or Visitors Pass? Or a medical Exam?
I'm considering going through customs as a visitor (i think i have up to 90 dyas) and applying for all the paperwork when i get there (or is this not allowed to be done if you come in under the auspice of a short term visit)?

Under a visitors pass you are allowed to look for work. However, you are not allowed to work, for that you will need to apply another pass.

A visitors pass is also a good option, however it would require you to travel to Malaysia or Indonesia after your visit-term is over, in order to prolongate the pass. I think you can prolongate it for one month only at a time. I know people who do that, they travel abroad on a monthly basis to extend the pass.
