IT job or MBA

Post by chixchix » Tue, 16 Dec 2008 8:41 am

Hii all, i need to ask something on behalf of my brother in law. :) He just completed his degree in IT .An Indian national.

Is it a right time for him to find a job or should he just do his MBA ?

-Any contacts or agencies he can call that helps Indians get a IT job here ?

-Any recommendations where to do a MBA.. if he decides to ?

Thanks in advance

*Parag, earlier you gave me two HP numbers to call but I dont have them in my inbox again ..if you got contacts let me know ya!

Its difficult to get a job for him in SG, as he has no experience.
With this economic depression , its better for him to do an MBA which will be for 1-2 yrs.so he can land up in a better job if the depression goes off..
NUS and AIMS are good institutes to do MBA in Asia pacific .

Cheers

AIMS --> Asian Institute of Management Studies located in Manila(not sure thou).. its better than NUS and #1 in Asia.

Cheers.

An MBA at NUS/SMU would be the smart thing to do since it will make it easier for him to take up employment in Singapore upon his graduation.

my 2 cents

If he can get into the IIMs in India then he can consider an MBA. Else it would be better to get 3yrs of work ex first.

Also depends on his reasons to do an MBA. No point in doing one if he wants to be in IT.
