Hi Lifetraveler,

What part of California are you from?

Anyhow, I lived in the DC area and would be coming to Singapore for a month starting early March. I would love to meet up with the group for dinners. Will send you an email shortly.

I live in South bay area. Wish you a pleasant trip in Singapore. Some good dinners with bunch of strangers always help.

Hi, dear dinner buddies,

I hope you had a great Chinese New year (I did), and come back to the reality of your life (I do). To give ourselves a buffer to settle down to the normal life, and continue the spirit of celebration a little bit more, I decide to pay a visit to this legendary restaurant: http://www.ka-soh.com.sg/index.php

Location:
96 Amoy Street
Singapore 069916

Time:8:30pm Tuesday, Feb 3, 2009

The food is awesome, so please come over if you happen to be hungry at that moment and hate to eat alone.

Again, send me an email to qwmo@hotmail, if you want my cell#.

Cheers,

Lifetraveler

Only saw your email on Tue, email arrive at my mail box in the early hour of Tue, after I finish my net session. :-|

I bypassed this place again few hours ago, maybe we can organize 1 session at this place, The French Stall, a "Road Side" stall along Serangoon Road.

Sounds good to me. What will be a good time for everyone? Thursday night? Weekend night?

All right,

Dear Dinner buddies,

Here is what Dounut suggests:

Time: Feb,10, 2009, Tuesday 8pm
Location:http://www.thefrenchstall.com.sg/

Let's see how the french food mutates in Singapore.

Mark your calendar and look forward to seeing you there.

Cheers,

Mutate ? ? :o

I have been there once, many years ago. Basically, the owner is a French, who married a Singapore woman. So, I don't know how far it has mutated, since I have not been to France. :P

Any French here wants to be the judge??

by "mutate", I refer to that poem by Edwin Thumboo about Singapore Merlion. " Despite unequal ways, together they mutate......." It is great. both the poem and the fact and way Singapore mutates. .
