In reply to your questions and concerns about Mala Steamboat being too spicy.

It's basically no worries at all. The Chong Qing mala Steaboat i tried comes in 4 separate section in the pot, choose 4 our of 5 different soup base. For Spicy: they are Sizchuan and Mala, non spicy - they have fish head soup, chicken soup and Veg soup.

At S$15 nett, drinks at S$1 per can. food is always fresh and hygenic, and covers reasonable variety.

It's opposite Novena MRT Station Name of restaurant is La Mei Zi, i patronise that place more as it's hygenic and the food is fresh plus good service.
