How to know about events ?

Post by HamsterDeCombat » Mon, 13 Apr 2009 9:50 pm

Hi,

I arrive from Beijing where there are several magazines (The Beijinger, city weekend…) with websites, forums and newsletters dedicated to expats, so you can know every week what the upcoming events, concerts, parties, celebrations… are.

They also have good directories of pretty much ever place to go out (bars, restaurants, amusement parks…) with ratings from users.

Anything like that in Singapore?

Thanx,
Romain

Singapore Tatler Magazine for one.

Also, there are a number of links in my links page as well under the heading of "Entertainment & Nightlife" 'bout half way down the centre column.

one good source is www.sistic.com.sg (95% of all shows in Singapore are ticketed thru this website), else, every friday in Straits times, there is a page on what's happening for the weekend.

enjoy!!!

Unfortunately, there are a whole lot more than one promoter.

Sistic is the best answer so far.

I enjoyed TimeOut Singapore. Their twitter feed is pretty good too.
