New Kiwi in Singapore

Hi there,

I'm a 25 year old girl working in advertising who has just moved from New Zealand to Singapore for a job in an agency here. Looking for some fun expats to meet but having trouble finding them!

Can anyone recommend places to hang out i.e. a good British or Irish pub where expats tend to go for a Sunday pint...? Or after work drinks? Kiwi / Aussie bar?

Any help is much appreciated, I've gone from having a really big network of friends back home and I'm starting to stress out that I'm going to be very lonely in this city

I've only been here a few months myself but have met up with a great group of expats from all over the world.
We meet up on Wednesday nights at 7:00 at Raffles MRT and have beer and satay at LPS before going out for a few more drinks.

Been here for a few years now. Haven't seen Once Were Warriors in a very long time..and do they still play Shortland Street on tv back home?

If you want to socialise as well as improve your tan and get in a bit of exercise, you are most welcome to come along to Sentosa on Saturdays and play some beach volleyball. See thread below:

There's also a small beach bar there if you want some liquid refreshments. Not sure if they have Lion Red there though..

I'll try and dig out my kiwi flag and attach it to the court so you can recognise us!
