Hi all,
I am just back from an orientation visit in Singapore and just have a question about
condos. My husband will be working near Tanjong Pagar MRT station and we had a day of looking at
condos 2 weeks ago. We came to the conclusion that we would like to live reasonably close to work for an easy commute due to long hours at the office. From research on this site and others, I found that Tiong Bahru sounded really good. We took a bus ride there on Saturday and liked the feel of the place. The condos that seem very nice are Twin Regency and Meraprime but I think both of these may be out of our price range - we are after a 3+1 and max rent of $4 K per month. So, I thought about Redhill being just one MRT station further out and see that Tanglin View seems quite convenient to the train. Does anyone have opinions on Tanglin View? Just for background, we are a family of 4 - we will be moving with our 2 children who will be 2 and 7 months when we move. Thanks in advance - I look forward to hearing of your opinions.

To the OP, although it is tempting to consider only places along the MRT line, you should bear in mind that the bus service here is excellent too. Since your husband is working in Tanjong Pagar you should also consider properties in and around Pasir Panjang. There are plenty of buses that will take him into Tanjong Pagar in less than 20 minutesand the prices for the older
condos in that area are pretty reasonable.

u may also want to consider those at harbourfront or outram (along the northeast line). it's just 1 - 2 stops away from tanjong pagar.
