What have they done to the beaches along Siloso at Sentosa,- it used to be so tranquil and relaxing- a few years ago when there was one club on the beach, a clapped out monorail and very few people,- it was very pleasant... and then it became a construction sight all along on the beach, jack hammers and noise pollution, so we stopped going,- now after another few years break, went back to the hotel at the end for a weekend getaway and the number of nightclubs with fenced off areas, forget about a romantic walk along the beachfront in the moonlight..- tried it last night was met with security telling us the beach was closed we were not allowed to walk from the tales of the sea show back to Rasa along the water front, have to walk along the road with a ton of traffic...what is going on?? bring back the olden days when a beach was just imported sand and sea!

Singapore is famous for "tweaking" things until they become totally unusable. They hold stock in Microsoft.

Give Sentosa a little slack -- the whole place is now a construction site thanks to the casino/Universal Studios and all the associated hotels coming up in 2010. Let's see how it looks in a year's time...
And if you want "just a beach" without jackhammers or extra chops in your passport, check out Kusu and St. John's Islands.

That's the best analogy for Singapore that I've heard in a long while. IMMD.

Terrible idea to post your phone number publicly, I suggest you remove this from the post and PM the user privately.
