I heard it's pretty good but they only have home delivery now. Gotta find an actual restaurant we can meet at though unless we have an outdoor gathering and have it delivered.

Well, I am back in California now. Stayed 3 weeks in Singapore. did a few short trips around it. Never felt "settled down" to arrange a real dinner outing with everyone this time.

Anyway, a colleague just recommend me an article regarding Singapore food. a little bit late for me. but think it will be perfect for you all.

Mauvecloud on another thread is setting up a dinner at Straits Chinese(Nonya) Restaurant near Bugis. It's open to anyone who is interested. Last Friday we had six people turn up. Anyone interested respond in that thread or PM Mauvecloud. Hopefully we can get something setup for this Friday.

When in Singapore i so much prefer the local food here, maxwell and the boon tiong kee near Great World serve some of the nicest chicken rice i tried so far. Can try Maxwell market, where they serve quite yummy local delicacies such as fried salted fritter at night, "ondeh-ondeh"in the afternoon and the char kway tiao is actually not bad.

I think the chicken rice in Maxwell market (Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice) is the best. Even much better than the one in chutterbox of Maritus Mandarin.
