Hi Friends
Sorry for a long silence in past two months. Let me throw more light on this subject. The StarHub has a few Channels and so does the Mio TV from Singtel. As correctly said by some of the fellow members it is a commercial decision for those companies to sell those channels that they can sell with profit. And I do not want to comment on it as it is their business decision.
I am too working on a commercial project and by no means it is a social service. The nature of each company's business differs. We are working on Internet based media content. So there are many shortfalls expected compared to a satellite or cable tv. The channels are bound to "buffer", the quality will be little lower than a broadcast TV.
On positive side there will be a lot of content available "On demand" to watch. And the best of all is there will be a lot of FREE stuff to watch that will be streamed through many video websites across the globe.
This service is not necessarily an "Indian TV Service". It is a web TV device that allows you to filter the content and presents it on TV. It is an "INTERACTIVE TV" which is way different than a conventional broadcast TV.
Now some of those "Techies" in this forum will argue that they can buy a PC to TV converter at $50-80 and watch all this using their PC. Please go ahead if that is what satisfies you. But there are people who do not mind paying few extra bucks to buy the comfort of watching the TV using a remote control and do not want to use a mouse to control their TV
Those who are contended with 2 or 3 channels may not like this service. and I respect their personal views.

But there are many who want something more, customized and personalized content. They want to watch the particular language from their own state. They may be only a few hundred such viewers here but are willing to pay for that language content. This service will attempt to bring entertainment for them.
Anyone who want to recommend/suggest any particular language please PM me.
I shall update here in next few weeks of the Beta launch of this service. STAY TUNED.
Too Busy and tired to think anything now.
