No, nor am I a hairy person, but I do shave my legs and underarms, like most women I know, and for that, I need shaving cream, preferably in a scent suitable for a woman. At Carrefour, you are probably seeing Nair Hair REMOVAL cream, something totally different. And I have been to every Cold Storage between my house and Orchard, including Orchard, and all they have is Nair Hair Removal Cream.

No, what I was seeing was Gillette for Women shaving cream.
(Also FYI:
http://www.coldstorage.com.sg/onlinesho ... d=GILLETTE - out of stock.)
*Went to both Mustafa and Carrefour and both were out... it's the type of thing that will come in and you need to stock up. Same with Manicotti noodles.

If you are overweight or big boned (depending on your size) you may consider bringing a few spare leather belts with you.
I have tried all the department stores along orchard, and quite a few out-of-the-way ones, and I couldn't find a belt my size. Even Mustafa's came up empty when searching for my size.

I use men's shaving cream - the smell may seem strong but doesn't linger. I use a moisturiser afterwards (I used to when I used a girlie cream too) and all you can smell afterwards is the lotion.

I can never find women's shaving cream either, but I've found that a cheap hair conditioner works just as well and is quite moisturizing

Hi,
U may wish to get your own English tea as it's not cheap sold here. Furniture wise, this country has everything you could ask for as there are some DYI shops that will cater to your needs.

Where where where?!?!
I surely hope you don't mean the Old El Paso taco kits...
Also, I second the deodorant thing. There seems to be only two brands of deodorant here (at least for females) and since I have very sensitive skin I have yet to find a variety in either brand that doesn't make my pits burn like hot fire. Unfortunately I'm not a candidate to go without (although apparently that's acceptable for many ppl here

)
If you have a US brand you like, stock up.

Here is the mexican food distributor here in Singapore:
www.belmontelatinfoods.com
They also sell the tortillas (flour/corn) in the frozen section of Carrefour. I'm from San Diego and honestly they taste very similar to the ones made in Old Town. Even my mom who was here visiting couldn't believe how authentic they are.

Just to reiterate what has already been posted on here -- Belmonte Latin Foods has things like the ever elusive corn tortilla, dried ancho chilies (they can even have ancho chile powder made upon request), poblanos, serranos, jalepenos, also longaniza (a type of chorizo very close to the Mexican kind), queso blanco, fresh tomatillos. They have a small kiosk in the Kallang Leisure Park shopping mall (across the parking lot from the indoor stadium) that offer these things on the spot. They also deliver. Such a lifesaver!

Is there a way to deposit cash (USD or SGD) into a US Bank of America account without having to do a TT or wire and pay fees?
Thanks for any advice!

If you have a local bank account then use WISE. Still got fees but very low.
I just tried WISE and for a $5000 transfer the total fee was $21...
