Any private mandarin teacher?

Hi i m working here in singapore and though work language is english i would love to learn mandarin for a hobby. i am looking for a teacher who can come to my place (little india mrt) late evening on weekdays. I m planning to learn together with a friend. Look forward to any reply!

i gave up learning the writing part of the language.

conversational wise, try asking your colleagues? i had someone to teach me when i first arrived and it cost $120/ hr and it doesn't really help that i do not have anyone to practice whatever i had learnt with and it told me a fairly long time to understand and speak.

$120 an hour??? Dude you got ripped, I registered for the Gateway to Mandarin course with the SCCIOB and it cost $650 for 10 lessons of 3 hours each (30 hours ~ $21.66 an hour).

I know it's a classroom situation so not one-on-one with a private teacher, but it shouldn't cost 6 times as much just for that privilege!
